The Campground Pond (Walker Pond) was once used as a farm pond to cut ice for local farmers. The pond has been dammed up by beavers and has created an outstanding natural habitat where wildlife abounds. Each year the Mallards and the Mergansers raise their family and share the safety of the pond with the Herons, Kingfishers and the Osprey
